Meet the Team

The Exeter Pet Company was established by myself, Sarah Hampshire in the summer of 2009. It has always been my dream to work with animals and after being unable to find a position as a veterinary nurse during the recession, I decided to start my own company!

Who will be looking after my pet?

Your pet will be cared for by myself. I am CRB checked and fully insured. 

Sarah Hampshire

I was born in Exeter in 1972 and have always been 'animal mad'! As a child I kept a variety of pets including rabbits, guinea pigs, tropical fish, mice. gerbils, stick insects and terrapins. It was always my dream to work with animals and I can whole heartedly say ' I love my job'!

I have a BSc (hons) degree in Applied Zoology and a post graduate diploma in Animal Parasitology.

In 2009 I completed a 2 year full time degree in Veterinary Nursing Science and also spent six months working in veterinary practice. This has given me even more experience in caring for all types of animals. It also means I am competent in giving your pet medication if needed, including insulin injections.

I live in Exeter with my 2 dogs. Zaki is a twelve year old tri colour collie who I have had and loved since he was a tiny 8 week old puppy. Zaki was brilliant at agility but has now retired. He is still very active and can out run many a dog. Abby is a little rescue terrier who has 'owned me' since last january. She loves life and chasing balls.

I also have a cat called Moose who is now 18! He is a real character and still likes chasing leaves around the garden!
